We
apologize to all who have been seeking us
for the last year. Unfortunately our shop has been
temporarily closed due to unforeseen tragedy &
hardship.
For
those of you who knew Pam Blackburn, the former creator
and owner of this fine establishment, we regret to inform
you that she passed away after her battle with cancer on
June 7th, 2006. Her husband Jim whom you may have seen
doing all the handyman work or around the office doing
the book keeping tasks, also tragically passed away along
with his best friend about a month prior to her death on
April 29th, 2006 in a fatal single car crash. For many of
you, Pam & Jim were not only owners of a fine
business, but friends who you grew to know and love. Pam,
Jim & Len, you will be sorely missed. May you rest in
peace.
Jamie, their daughter who you ususally saw running the
register, buying your books or stocking & cleaning,
now owns the business. However, due to the emotional toll
their loss has taken on her, along with legal turmoil and
upset, coupled with ongoing severe illnesses and care of
3 of her best friends, the loss of 3 of her beloved pets
of 16 years and bouts of her own illness, has not had the
time, nor the fortitude to re-open as yet.
It is planned that sometime in the spring of 2008 after
doing some major repairs she will have a huge sale of
stock with deep discounts to not only dealers but the
rest of the public as well. Prices will be slashed
dramatically and bargain hunters will be welcomed.
Hopefully Links to the Past will rise again, and our
loyal clients will return along with many new faces.
In the meantime, we are still selling books online and
doing occasional auctions on eBay. Please feel free to
email us at used-books@lycos.com for any wants you may
have. You may also phone us at 269-271-2673 (please note
this is a new number).
Thank
you for your patience & your loyal patronage over the
last 20 years. We apologize for any inconviences you may
have incurred due to the temporary yet lengthy closure.
P.S. Pages, the shop mascot is
still alive and well and awaiting her return to duty. She
is vacationing at Jamie's home, and can't wait to see you
all again. She thanks all who have inquired about her!
